Random Markup Properties Test This is a test of arbitarily overlapping markup properties. The user specifies a set of property names suitable for poetry, drama or novel, a suitable text and a markup density. The program projects those properties randomly over the text, creating many cases of overlap. It then converts this random markup into valid HTML. In the process property ranges can be dropped. This is inevitable with the crazy random markup of this test, and only happens when neither of two properties over the same range may contain the other. This will happen very little in practice. The purpose here is to find flaws in an algorithm, not to markup up a text in any practical way. The final box tries to display the overlapping properties themselves by interleaving coloured spans one letter at a time whererever the properties overlap.
